Barcelona is full of inspiring places. One of them is the impressive Modernist building Masía Freixa located in the Sant Jordi park in Terrassa. Built originally in 1896 as a small textile factory, it was later transformed by the architect Lluís Muncunill into a bourgeois residence for the Catalan industrialist Josep Freixa i Artemi. Compared to Gaudi, Masia Freixa has a very restrained detailing, giving it a more structured and clean look. It features a fairy-tale like architecture of white tile, curvy shapes and undulating grey roofs.
